Christo plays a song in the circle. His guitar is in an interesting tuning, he showed us this on Thursday night. He tunes his fifth string from an A up to a B, and then plays a lot of barre chords that involve leaving the first and second (B and E) strings open, as demonstrated in this picture. This gives the music a very interesting quality, full of 7ths and 9ths and such, sounding very wistful and unresolved. Christo says there's a large David Crosby influence to his songs, which I can hear, and Vixy also hears Gordon Lightfoot, Heart, and other 70's-era folk/rock stylings in there.
