Monday morning in the lobby, it's Vixy and Seanan's turn to keep Christo from leaving.

After about a million hugs (and re-hugs) goodbye with various confolk, we were off to Stoph's studio again for our Monday recording session. We were late, by about two hours, thanks to the hinges on the hatchback to Stoph's van giving up the ghost.

Here, Vixy and Seanan share a moment of sleepy post-con recording-studio crashy-ness.
Despite having started two hours late, we got everything accomplished on Monday that we'd set out to accomplish. Two rhythm guitar tracks, and the associated scratch vocal and final backup vocals for both.
Working with Kristoph was an absolute pleasure and an honor. As an engineer, he is efficient, fast, precise, and flexible. As a person, he is fun, interesting, and funny. As a producer, he's got a fantastic ear and is very good at getting the best out of the performers. I can't say enough good things about what it was like to work on this project with Seanan and Kristoph. I really hope to get the chance to work with them again, soon.
And we got our part of it done in just enough time for Chris to rush me and Vixy back to the airport, where...

... we found that the Garcias were (are you ready for this?) not only on the same flight to Seattle, but in the seats exactly behind us. Party plane! We had to get their son Tommy to take a photo just to prove that it happened. Alisa's take on the coincidence: "We have to go to Vegas right now."
Next up? FilKONtario in April, followed by Baycon in May. See you there!
